Our Story
2020 certainly has been a year to remember and it had
a big impact on the world as we know it, including here on Utila.
I am Anke. I have been a proud member of the Utopia Village team over the last 6 years. During that time Utopia Village was the #1 resort on Utila and also rated the #1 resort for service on TripAdvisor in all of Honduras. Utopia Village is known for its beautiful location, excellent accommodation and food, fantastic valet diving and exceptional personalized service. But the owners, Paul and Chrisna, always said the true secret sauce of the Utopia Village experience was its amazing staff - a team of people that are excellent at their jobs, that love what they do, and truly care about their guests’ experience.
So when the owners decided in the midst of the Corona-virus pandemic not to re-open the resort to paying guests and rather focus on their community programs and marine research going forward it was a sad day for us.
But we agreed that it also was a wonderful opportunity for us to build our own new business leveraging everything we learned at Utopia Village, plus full access to their dive boat, rental gear and dive tanks.
2020 is the beginning of our success story. The dive team from Utopia Village let loose. You won't have the same accommodation, food and amenities as before. But you do have the same comfortable dive boat of Utopia Village, the excellent dive and safety equipment of the U-dive operation, plus the outstanding Diving Instructors, Dive Masters and Captains we have always been.
We are We-Dive Utila. We hope you will come dive with us. Enjoy safe, relaxing and fun valet diving on Utila’s beautiful reef. Have a chance to swim with whale sharks and dolphins if you are lucky. Be pampered by the people you already know and love.
The Diving
Our goal is to deliver an amazing dive experience that is safe, fun and educational, combined with the convenience of valet service. We-Dive Utila has experienced dive masters with local knowledge, a spacious dive boat and high quality rental gear. We are passionately committed to protecting the reef.
We-Dive is a PADI Dive Operator with the following amenities:

• Gear bag and tag system
• Valet service to move, rinse, and store your gear
• Recompression chamber and physician in Utila Town
The Accomodation
from lively to luxurious
Sunnis Cove
The accommodation is located on the South Shore of Utila, very close to our dive boat. There are a total of 3 separate bungalows that are outfitted with two double beds in each. Here you have AC and hot water.
All of them have azure blue water views and are directly located on a white sandy beach, where you can walk directly into the water and start your day of snorkeling, diving or kayaking!
Casa Colorada
This is the lively accommodation option. Located in the middle of the Utila Cays you will get a feeling for our
little fishing village and its people along with an amazing ocean view. The apartment has hot water and internet, but no AC. There are fans and normally a refreshing island breeze to keep you cool. You have direct access to the sea right in front of your door.
Pineapple House at Treasure Beach
Get away from it all at the Pineapple House, a beautiful and spacious beachfront home located on the white sands of Treasure Beach on the South Shore of Utila.
The Pineapple House is tastefully furnished and all table ware, bed linens and towels are of the finest quality. It has AC and Hot water. The shady verandas are also furnished and perfect for lounging and siestas, as is the beach with its hammocks, sun beds and casitas.
A large sunbathing/star gazing deck is built over the water, enjoy cooling breezes as you look at the coral reef below or enjoy sunsets over the Cays.
